Francy Parra – Sponsorship Coordinator, Conviventia
“Being part of Conviventia is not just a job; it’s the privilege of putting at God’s service the talents and skills He has given me.”
My name is Francy Parra. I am a daughter of God, a wife, a mother, and a professional social communicator. A year and a half ago, I joined Conviventia as Field Sponsorship Coordinator, in direct response to a prayer. I longed to work in a place that shared my Christian worldview and where I could offer my experience in service to God’s Kingdom.
God surprised me by leading me to a strong organization, but beyond that, He brought me to a space that has become a tool in His hands to transform lives—from the youngest to the oldest. Here, I found a mission that excites me and a vision I deeply connect with.
Every day, I am moved by the work I do. I firmly believe that children are not the future—they are the present. And every action I take is aimed at expanding Conviventia’s vision. In my role, I work to strengthen the communication between sponsors and children, ensuring it is meaningful, close, and transformative for both.
On one side, there are the sponsors—generous individuals who have heard God’s call to help others. On the other, there are the boys and girls from vulnerable communities in my country, who, thanks to that support, can study with Christian principles and values, and dream of a different future. Through the letters, drawings, and testimonies they write, the children not only express gratitude but also share their dreams, experiences, and prayer requests. In every word, they convey the message that they know someone is praying for them, believing in their potential, and walking with them—even from afar.
It is a privilege to witness how their lives begin to change, how they rediscover their identity as children of God, and how their stories begin to be written with hope. Each year, I have the joy of guiding the children as they write letters to their sponsors, where they express thanks, share classroom experiences, and sometimes open their hearts to ask for spiritual support during difficult times.
I have also witnessed how God works through sponsors. Thanks to their contributions, more children can access safe spaces where they are surrounded by love, care, and complete education. Every member of the Conviventia team, from their respective professional areas, sows with love so that these children can grow into agents of change for our society.
Today, I can say with complete certainty that being part of Conviventia is not just a profession development—it is a calling, a vocation. And I am deeply grateful to every Friend of Hope who believes in us and helps make the dream of a transformed Colombia, through its new generations, a reality.
