The single mother was certain a mistake had been made. Standing in the principal’s office, she tightly held the twenty-dollar bill she found “dropped” into her grocery bag. Our mission team had delivered the bag, but with her heart full of honesty and dignity, she returned, determined to give the money back—convinced one of our missionaries had left it behind by accident. What she didn’t realize was that this small act of generosity was intentional. The missionary knew she needed a little extra, but in a conversation filled with mutual respect, we and the mother agreed that rather than cash, the money could go toward something more meaningful: her son’s education. That twenty dollars, when applied to his tuition, became a powerful symbol of hope—removing a burden and creating a lasting impact. At Conviventia, we believe that real transformation doesn’t come from quick fixes but from deep relationships and long-term solutions. Our short-term missions (STMs) aren’t just about giving—they're about walking with families, honoring their dignity, and working together to create sustainable change. This story is just one small reflection of how God’s ministry of reconciliation, as outlined in 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, can unfold in everyday moments. Through our STMs, we don’t simply address immediate needs; we restore relationships—between individuals, their communities, and God. But we can’t do it alone. This work is only possible through the support of people like you. Whether you choose to donate to support education or volunteer your time on the ground, you can become a crucial part of this mission. Together, we can bring hope, dignity, and transformation to families who need it most. Will you join us on this journey?
